Finished Surface Handover
Road Surface Handover
A road-surface handover should identify the layer being accepted and the next paving or traffic operation. A base-layer check and a wearing-surface check are not interchangeable.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeConfirm layer specification, alignment and receiving operation.
Work stageCombine profile measurements with the relevant material and compaction records.
AfterRelease the accepted layer to surfacing or the intended use.
What to verify
Check edges, junctions and drainage connections.
The finished purpose sets the acceptance question. Agree the receiving contractor or operator, the design reference and the evidence required before construction starts. Keep geometric checks separate from material and operational checks so the handover states what has actually been established.
Scope and limits
The design sets applicable tolerances; the machine brand does not.
