Problem Diagnosis
Uneven Subgrade
Uneven subgrade can create variable thickness in every layer above it. Correcting the surface is useful only if the underlying support is acceptable.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeIdentify soft areas and compare formation levels with design.
Work stageTrim suitable high areas and place approved material in low areas according to the layer requirements.
AfterComplete compaction and specified acceptance checks.
What to verify
Check levels before base material conceals the subgrade.
Diagnosis should distinguish the visible symptom from its cause. Record whether the fault appeared after traffic, a water event, settlement or earlier earthworks. That history helps decide whether the response is a local surface correction, a drainage intervention or a more substantial investigation.
Scope and limits
A scraper does not replace proof testing or project-specific investigation.
Continue the job brief
Include the location, existing condition, intended surface, material, available tractor and proposed dates.
