Standards & Responsibilities

ISO 12100 and Machinery Design

ISO 12100 concerns general machinery-safety design principles and risk assessment. Its public description explains the standard's subject, but does not determine the conformity of a specific scraper.

Plan the surface handover

BeforeDefine the machine and its intended and reasonably foreseeable uses.
Work stageArrange a competent design risk assessment and retain the resulting design and operating evidence.
AfterUse machine-specific instructions and the relevant workplace procedures.

What to verify

Check that any claimed assessment applies to the actual configuration.

A standard reference, a patent, a design assessment and a certificate are different records. Any compliance statement should identify the actual machine, applicable scope and supporting evidence. This site describes relevant topics without presenting an unverified certificate.

Scope and limits

This page describes the standard's topic; it is not an assessment or certification of Dugong.

Primary reference

References explain the relevant topic. They do not endorse Dugong or verify the pictured configurations.
