Project Stages
Drainage Formation
Drainage formation is the project stage that connects the planned water route through the earthworks. It should be coordinated with structures and crossings.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeSet out the drainage profile and receiving outlet.
Work stageForm the intended surface while preserving continuity at structures and work-zone boundaries.
AfterComplete erosion protection and inspect the connected route.
What to verify
Measure critical invert and transition levels.
Each project stage has a receiving operation and an acceptance question. Record what is complete, what remains and which reference the next team should use. Correct quantities before refining geometry, and do not cover an unaccepted layer simply to keep the sequence moving.
Scope and limits
A surface route does not establish drainage capacity or discharge permission.
Continue the job brief
Include the location, existing condition, intended surface, material, available tractor and proposed dates.
