Plan the surface handover

BeforeDefine boundaries of work, reference control and required detail.
Work stageCapture the terrain and important structures, with enough information for design and quantities.
AfterIssue the survey with datum, units and limitations stated.

What to verify

Check control-point agreement and representation of abrupt terrain changes.

Each project stage has a receiving operation and an acceptance question. Record what is complete, what remains and which reference the next team should use. Correct quantities before refining geometry, and do not cover an unaccepted layer simply to keep the sequence moving.

Scope and limits

A survey deliverable should not be confused with a legal boundary determination.
