Project Stages
Earthworks Design
Earthworks design compares existing terrain with the intended surface and accounts for material movement. It must also consider where the resulting water and traffic will go.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeObtain a suitable survey and identify constraints.
Work stagePrepare the surface and cut-and-fill arrangement with material suitability and layer separation in mind.
AfterIssue the approved revision and construction checks.
What to verify
Review critical connections and quantity assumptions.
Each project stage has a receiving operation and an acceptance question. Record what is complete, what remains and which reference the next team should use. Correct quantities before refining geometry, and do not cover an unaccepted layer simply to keep the sequence moving.
Scope and limits
Geometric balance does not establish usable material balance or structural design.
Continue the job brief
Include the location, existing condition, intended surface, material, available tractor and proposed dates.
