Crushed-Rock Preparation
Crushed-rock preparation concerns a specified material layer. Its grading, moisture and compaction requirements belong to the project brief, not merely the machine placing it.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeConfirm material documents and supporting-layer acceptance.
Work stagePlace and shape the layer so the required compaction equipment can work consistently.
AfterComplete the specified testing and surface acceptance.
What to verify
Check material uniformity and layer depth.
Material roles matter as much as surface levels. Growing medium, structural fill and pavement aggregate should not be treated as interchangeable simply because all can be moved by a scraper. The preparation and acceptance method must follow the intended layer.
Scope and limits
A scraper's capacity cannot establish the compacted thickness achieved.
