Loam Soil Grading
Loam grading should protect the productive surface while correcting the broad level relationship. Soil classification alone does not establish that a particular layer is suitable structural fill.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeRecord layer depth and the receiving use.
Work stageMove suitable material with minimal unnecessary mixing and finish the profile using a reliable reference.
AfterRestore cultivation or growing-surface preparation.
What to verify
Check topsoil depth and remaining drainage depressions.
Material roles matter as much as surface levels. Growing medium, structural fill and pavement aggregate should not be treated as interchangeable simply because all can be moved by a scraper. The preparation and acceptance method must follow the intended layer.
Scope and limits
Structural use needs the relevant material assessment rather than an informal soil description.
