Fill Material Distribution
Fill distribution should preserve material identity and permit the required layer preparation. Random piles and inconsistent depth make later compaction and testing harder.

Plan the surface handover
BeforeConfirm fill classification, receiving extent and layer requirements.
Work stagePlace manageable quantities and grade the layer without burying unsuitable material or mixing classes.
AfterCompact and inspect before placing another layer.
What to verify
Measure receiving levels and record material source.
Material roles matter as much as surface levels. Growing medium, structural fill and pavement aggregate should not be treated as interchangeable simply because all can be moved by a scraper. The preparation and acceptance method must follow the intended layer.
Scope and limits
Geometric volume is not proof of suitable fill or completed compaction.
